Victoria Fire Department EMS Battalion Chief Mark Martyn has been appointed to serve on the Texas EMS, Trauma & Acute Care Foundation’s education committee. TETAF is a nonprofit that supports the state health care system by surveying facilities and providing advocacy and educational opportunities, according to its website. The education committee works with TETAF and its Board of Directors on issues related to TETAF’s educational opportunities. Martyn first joined the Victoria Fire Department in 2005. He earned his bachelor’s degree in emergency management from West Texas A&M in 2014. He is also a licensed paramedic and holds a Master Fire Fighter Certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
