Victoria County residents who are homebound because of a medical condition and who are at least 18 years of age may now register to receive COVID-19 vaccinations at their homes.

Residents may register online at www.homeboundlist.com. Residents will be notified via text or email when their appointment is scheduled, and they will need to reply to confirm the appointment time.

Vaccines will be administered by the Victoria Fire Department. The fire department estimates it will be able to provide about 100-150 vaccinations per week depending on availability.

The Victoria Fire Department previously delivered vaccines to homebound residents by partnering with nongovernmental agencies such as Meals on Wheels Victoria. The fire department has vaccinated about 500 residents through these partnerships.

For more information about the program, call the COVID-19 hotline at 888-966-5640 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. For local updates about COVID-19 vaccinations, visit the Victoria County Public Health Department’s Facebook page.
