[ARCHIVED] Bridge Street to be reduced as generator construction begins

A map shows a lane reduction on Bridge Street next to the police station

A portion of Bridge Street between Juan Linn Street and Church Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic beginning April 28 so that Austin Generator Service can complete excavation for a new concrete pad for an emergency generator.

The lane reduction will last until May 14, weather permitting.

The emergency generator is funded in part by a Texas Division of Emergency Management subgrant that was issued through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The generator is expected to be operational this fall.
