Riverside Golf Course’s improved greens will be open to new and returning players during the City Championship, a local golf tournament hosted by Victoria’s three courses.
“This is a great way for us to show the community what we have to offer,” said Rolando Hernandez, head golf professional at Riverside Golf Course. “Victoria is lucky to have three golf courses, and this tournament lets them play all three for a fair price.”
The tournament will be May 29-31 at Riverside Golf Course, The Club at Colony Creek and Victoria Country Club. The event is open to spectators. Participants will receive a complimentary lunch on the golf courses each day.
The competition is divided into men’s, women’s and junior divisions. A “Just for Fun” flight is available for players who do not want to keep score.
The entry deadline is May 27 at 3 p.m. Participants can download the registration form at playriversidegc.com/calendar/ or pick up a form at one of the three golf courses.
For residents looking for another opportunity to enjoy the course, Riverside Golf Course has extended its driving range hours to take advantage of increased daylight.
