City Manager Jesús A. Garza was recognized during Tuesday’s City Council meeting for one year of service to the City of Victoria.
This Wednesday, May 20, marks one year since Garza began working as Victoria’s city manager. City Council approved Garza for the position April 9, 2019. During the past year, Garza has helped the City to make progress under each of the Plan 2035 focus areas and has overseen developments such as the City’s partnership with the Main Street Program, the design phase of the Ben Wilson Street Corridor Improvement Project and the implementation of new City policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Rawley McCoy congratulated Garza and thanked him for his commitment to enhancing livability in Victoria.
