PHOTO #2: Mark Martyn of the Victoria Fire Department was promoted to EMS Battalion Chief during a Feb. 18 ceremony at Victoria Fire Department Station Six. Martyn first joined the fire department in 2005, and he has served as a firefighter/EMT, firefighter/paramedic, paramedic specialist, fire medic, fire lieutenant, EMS captain and fire captain.
PHOTO #3: The Victoria Fire Department dedicated a new fire truck in memory of former assistant fire chief Kenneth Volkmer during a Feb. 18 ceremony at Victoria Fire Department Station Six. Volkmer served the fire department for 39 years before his retirement. He passed away in 2021. Members of his family attended the ceremony and received a commemorative plaque.
