AT&T has begun the process of installing a state-of-the-art fiber optic network that will provide Victoria residents with another option for ultrafast and reliable high-speed internet.

“One of the goals of the Victoria Broadband Commission has been to encourage competition by bringing more providers to Victoria,” said Assistant City Manager Darrek Ferrell. “The presence of multiple fiber internet providers will allow for a market that ensures fair pricing and establishes standards for the quality of service.”

AT&T has been reaching out to property owners and leaving doorhangers to inform residents of upcoming work and educate them about their eligibility for fiber internet.

Customers interested in AT&T Fiber can sign up to be alerted when fiber is available to their addresses through AT&T’s Notify Me service by visiting www.att.com/FiberComingVictoria or by visiting a local AT&T retail location.

“We are continually working to help close the digital divide by expanding our fiber footprint,” said Kelly Curbow, vice president of AT&T Texas External and Legislative Affairs. “We are excited to bring AT&T Fiber’s ultrafast and reliable internet service to the residents and businesses of Victoria.”
